The Ipswich Knights Football Club is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people by providing a safe and supportive sporting environment for children and young people who engage with our club at all levels.
The Child and Youth Risk Management Policy Framework was developed as a requirement under Chapter 7, Part 3 of the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 and associated regulations which required that organisations develop and implement:
. Club wide policies to minimise the risk of harm to children and young people engaged with the club
. Risk management strategies to minimise the risk of harm and keep children and young people engaged with the club
. Practices and procedures that promote the wellbeing of children and young people engaged with the club
The Framework applies (but is not limited to) to all staff, volunteers, professional services engaged by the club, parents and spectators.
